  • SCG starts with the basic belief that the supplier is totally responsible for the quality of his delivered product
  • Basics of the quality assurance process:
    • Proper electronic print control
    • Well defined specifications to support all part prints
    • Control and management of engineering changes
    • Proper ID of all incoming parts to include: part number, supplier, ECL, and build date
    • Electronic inspection reports from the supplier for all delivered parts
    • A formal deviation request and approval process for all items where a supplier suggests deviation or print interpretation
    • Audit process of incoming parts that utilize an independent metrology lab for validation of inspection reports
    • An established PR&R process
